AUTUMN @ ENGLEWOOD

around this time last year, i was eagerly anticipating my trip to New York. it was going to be my first trip to the big apple and the prospect of viewing masterpieces by the greatest modern artists animated me with unbridled anticipation.

while abstract expressionism by Mark Rothko, Kenneth Noland and Franz Kline transfixed me, it was the mind-blowing colours of autumn @ englewood however which triggered the primordial urge to paint again.

these are incipient strokes of oil hastily applied on canvas last year after i returned from that inspiring trip.

I like that painting you're showing, let's ask Gemo what he thinks...but more than the vivid strokes of paint, can I just call to your attention that the color scheme you're using is the same color scheme of the Dior eyeshadow I gave you..."les Paradis" wan't it? I know because you ALWAYS insisted that green do-eye was "natural".

If you have them I would die!! I'd love to see them, but not on your blog please, send them to me instead..You know I remember you drawing my picture but I insisted that my hair be "vuak"!, It was such a silly picture.

These paintings are autumn inspired. Hmmm, kinda reminds me of summer. But they're beautiful.
